Great service. Not so satisfying pub food.
Nice pub with great patio and good wings.
Nice selection of beers and the usual pub food. The terrace are is pretty great with lots of seating and friendly staff.
Great ambiance and great food for a decent price
Good place to grab a drink
The bar was empty- everyone was in the outside space at the back - large tables of very loud and drunk people mainly women. The food was okay
Poutine is served with shredded mozzarella cheese. It says it all.
I love this place.
One of regular work lunch , we keep going , must be good huh?
pretty good beer and food for moderate prices. Interior is very "pubby" and th patio is quite nice.
Great food and service. Nice outdoor terrace.
Pretty good, they have like one page of different beer. There's a cosy terrace, good place to enjoy a beer with friends and be able to talk without yelling. I enjoyed the music there (they played some AC-DC).
Good food and reasonable prices.
Good pub. Nice Canadian beer. All foods came with French fries... but it tasted good.
Not bad as an average neighbourhood pub, but nearly $20 after tax and tip for an unusually small chicken breast plus a few fries and salad (their signature Poulet Victoria) was disappointing to say the least. I gave them an opportunity to correct it by politely voicing my disappointment, but the manager did not offer to fix the portion.
Cheap beer, Good food, nice pub ambience, it's a little hidden gem downtown.
Very good place for lunch during the work week.
Great atmosphere, ambiance and service! What else do you want from your local pub !?!
Nice place to hangout with friends for beers and snacks.
Typical bar with pub food and quick/friendly service. Popular for group lunches. Nice back terrasse.
Good pub for drinks after work. Good selection of beers. Place is often crowded, so take the size of your group into consideration.
The food is ok, but not great. The prices reflects that; a smoked meat platter and beer cost $23, so not bad for a downtown pub at lunch time. The service, however, is excellent.
Some of the most low effort food I've ever had. The drinks are mediocre
Would never attempt to describe this place as a pub! It's a bar with sad food.
Classic busy downtown watering hole. Great ambiance. Decent food...
fun pub after work.
What you expect. But service was fast.
The food was allright, nothing exceptional and it matches the price, but the seating is not comfortable.
Nice spot off the beaten path in the financial district. Has a long happy hour (4-8pm) and your typical bar fair. Tvs for sports and lots of space to sit. Usually not too crowded on weekdays
Nice place. To drink and eat good putine
I live in this neighbourhood and have “adopted” the Vic as my local for 7 years. Great after-work refuge for my usual Newcastles - and the worry-free walk home ain’t bad too. I’ve always admired the staff here: friendly ... a very human space in the tradition of small-town England and Ireland. Considering the amount of choice that surrounds me, I very rarely stop in anyplace else.
Great food and service, I had fish and chips they were the best I have had in years
Overall nice place. I can't say I'm a big beer fan. I only like blonds and whites. This place has the Belgian Moon (Blue Moon) which I love occasionally. Their food is usually very good with great service.
One of the last taverns of the area.. but it does not excuse the high prices and let's be honest ... The Fast food!
I recommend fish and chips.
Good place for post work 5-7 beers. Staff is friendly and service was quick!
Great service, good food. Big variety of beers.
Quick service. Honest prices. The food is ok (burger patty was very dry- but fries and condiments we're good). Poutine didn't have real cheese curds.
Tried this pub out before heading to the airport. Visiting from Vancouver, the idea was to try smoked meat and poutine. It was ok. Not awesome but ok. The really interesting part however is where I saw another customer who didn't tip as much as the waitress wanted them to. She brought back the debit machine and demanded that the customer make another payment to cover the full 15 percent tip. Granted, a tip is often 15 percent but I was surprised at how angry the waitress got. A 15 tip is also not mandatory. Its standard but not mandatory... So if you attend this pub, be careful with your tipping or experience a verbal confrontation with the waitress.
Great place to have a nice pub dinner and relax after a long day at work
Fun place, the food is good! Good variety of alcohol. Wish they would serve chicken wings during lunch time
Offers a variety of beers as well as decent meals with specialties of poutine and sausages. Reasonably priced and cozy. I want to highlight the use of the word meal as in viable lunch and not meal as in pub snack. Enjoy!
Nice place for lunch. Need to make a reservation to enjoy the terrace. Simple selection of beers, simple yet effective selection of food (I tried the poutine and won't take it again cause of lack of squish squish cheese). Staff was great.
Good service, robust pub food, sometimes a bit noisy.
Nice place in downtown to hangout with friends. Good service.
Cool place. Seems like the locals come here after work. Happy hour for local beers. The chips (not fries) are so so so good!
Is it cool? There is beer...
Cozy pub without pretension. Friendly staff and consistent quality and standard pub menu. They even have a cider based sangria, good pub fries, and Harp on tap for Irish beer lovers which is really nice! The courtyard terrace at the back is lovely as well.
Good for some dirty pub food and a beer
Cute pub, decent prices. I find it weird there are no seats at the bar, though.
